first outfit of the new year

Yesterday was the first day I'd gotten fully dressed in 2010, since New Year's Day was spent as it should be, in pajamas watching movies. Having fully recovered on Saturday, I was able to go out and continue the fun being appropriately indulgent with friends. Bloody marys, bourbon, comfort food, insane dessert... yes, this is how I want the entire year to go down. Or at least January, since it's bitterly cold and I'm about to turn 25.

Wearing a Zara silk shirt, BDG jeans, DV boots, my mother's old ring, and my new cutesy coat from Zara. I think it helps me channel this 1964 type frenchy vibe I've been going for.

That shirt is gloooorious! And, I totally forgot that you also had a pair of those Dingo boots, I just broke down and ordered a black pair to match my brown ones--gonna have to do something about those stupid rhinestones when they arrive!

Thanks guys! ;)

Siri- I'd love to have them in black. Mine are sort of a brown black, and getting beat up. It's crazy how much people charge for them on Etsy now! And yours are arriving with rhinestones attached? You should wear them out at least ONCE before yanking them off.

Oh then you must have the same pair as me, mine are very very dark brown (and yep, falling apart a bit--again!) It really is insane how much they go for now, on etsy or ebay. I finally gave up waiting for a pair to show up in my size and bought them new--you can actually still get this style brand new, but only in black. And they weren't that much more than what I would have paid those esty vultures, grrr.

The rhinestones are only on the buckles, which are silver and waaay too shiny for my taste (at least as far as I can tell from the photo), gonna have to rough em up a bit asap! But who knows, maybe they'll grow on me?? Wouldn't be the first time heh.

ahhh! i haven't really been dressed either, it's such a weird thing this time of year, right after new years, right before the monday we have to go to work, no one wants to do anything! and rightly so!
