Chanelgasm! Thank you Karl, for fulfilling some strange fantasy I didn't know I had until I saw your clothes and set design.

Paris has been a bit of a disappointment, really. With the oh-so-fine exceptions of Chanel, Celine, and YSL. I'd expect nothing less from Lagerfeld (his own collection wasn't too shabby either), Philo, and Pilati. These people know how to dress women!

The Viktor & Rolf show was pretty fascinating too. The construction of some of those dresses blew me away. Otherwise, Paris has been a snoozefest. I didn't even like Chloé except for a certain navy cape flying down the runway. Better shape up your game for FW10, designers. (Tim Gunn, is that you in my head?)

Apparently Lara Stone is sick of being "the fat one" and wants to change. To this I say...OH HELL NO. Lara, girl, you are seriously the most gorgeous model working today. Your features are so unique. No one comes close to your level. You're an icon.

Easy Fall days

I just love this shot from the "Sunday in the Park" M&M shoot in the September 09 issue of W. So dreamy. And yes, more Lara love.

In other news, my laptop is mysteriously broken and I've no clue when the situation will be taken care of. I'm at the mercy of other people's computers at the moment which has certainly put a stitch in things. I'll try to keep regularly posting though.

Vogue Paris, September 2009

These re-interpretations of Lara Stone's look, first in W and now in Vogue Paris, are overwhelming me. Photographers Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott have completely transformed her for VP's September issue. This is only further proof that she is the model, timeless and irresistible. Her confidence and age work hand-in-hand to give her an edge that no other model working today has. A living testament that a model is not merely a clothes hanger.

I'm tempted to wander out in the stifling heat to hit up every newsstand to find this issue, which should end in a heat stroke as I don't believe it's even hit Paris newsstands yet.

I think Lara as Bardot is my favorite Lara. W published this editorial of her done up in a similar style in May, and for the August issue we get her on the cover looking oh-so-sweet. Such a rare beauty.
